Seier for Motörhead

Etter at Lemmy og resten av de legendariske rockerne i Motörhead hadde gått av Sentrum Scene, møtte de opp for å motta hver sin splitter nye Victory High Ball.

Bandet ble nemlig overrakt hver sin customiserte High Ball-modell og det var en fornøyd gjeng som holdt pressekonferanse på Hard Rock Cafe i Oslo. Ja, hvor ellers.
– We have never compromised and will never do so either. We are associated with the biker culture. When I first saw Victory, I thought that those bikes are built for Motörhead. They fit our image. Victory Motorcycles are just like a tough rock’n’roll band – no compromises» sa Motörhead-trommis Mikkey Dee.

– Har alt vi står for
Han understreket at bandet ikke ville latt seg sponse av hva som helst.
– There are so many products and brands that want to connect with Motörhead. But there is one thing that you really can rely on, it’s everything that we stands for, and that’s a cool motorcycle. So here we are, and if you please can hurry up with all your questions now, because we are really curious about how our bikes look, sa Mikkey Dee ivrig.

Da syklene omsider ble avduket, var det tydlig at de likte det de så. Lemmy fikk en olivengrønn High Ball med Tailgunners. Phil en matt sølvfarget High Ball, og Mikkey fikk en svart og rød modell, full av krom.
– How did you guys know? Man, look at these bikes», sa Mikkey Dee.
– Listen, we gave these guys at Victory free hands to do whatever they
wanted with our bikes and this is just spot on. It’s unbelievable. These bikes are Motörhead, fortsatte han.
– I’m speechless. This is too much. Is this really my bike? And look at Lemmys and Mikkeys! I’m so grateful» sa Phil Campbell, som klemte alle som hadde vært involvert i byggingen av hans sykkel.
