18-YEAR OLD TALENT ONLY RACES 3 YEARS
Blockbuster: Kawasaki Docshop Racing starring Christoffer Nilsen
Kawasaki Docshop Racing, take two! After the sensationell acquisition of IDM Superbike Champion Stefan Nebel for this class, the Team hits the news for the second time: another topdriver is fixated under the wings of Kawasaki Docshop Racing in the person of the 18-year old Christoffer Nilsen, who will defend the lime green colors in the IDM Supersport class in 2006.
The resume of the young viking shows that the Kawasaki Docshop Racing team is once again aiming to compete for the title in the IDM Supersport Championship in 2006: Nilsen debuted with competing on motorcycles for one race in the 2002 Aprilia RS 125-Cup, which he won right away. After getting the taste, the rider nicknamed «NitroNilsen» competed in the Norwegian- and Nordic Superstock Championship in 2003 and 2004. With several victories and very good rankings, he gained the third place – in both Championships !
This wasnt enough- in 2005 «NitroNilsen» went to an ever higher level of his skills. The talented rider started in the Norwegian-Superstock and -Supersport Championship, with a standard motorcycle ! His impressive effort paid out: Nilsen became Vice-Champion in the Superstock- and Norwegian Champion in the Supersport-Class!
Obviously the maths for Kawasaki Docshop Racing once again are 1 + 1 equals 3. The Team has already great experiences with promising Norwegian riders, as with Kai-Børre Andersen they became 2005 IDM Supersport Champion. This new combination looks hardly less promising.
Also first tests on the spanish racetrack of Cartagena showed that «NitroNilsen» deserves his nickname. The laptimes where quite impressive ..
